Here we got the solution for you. This DVD Decoder removes the MacroVision protection from your DVD output. It supports standard Video as well as S-Video and Scart in/output and is compatible with PAL & NTSC systems (including the PlayStation2 or other consoles). Equipment: Video: Funai 21A-700 DVD: Sony DVP-NS405 Television: Mark TVD3270NT Cables: Noname RGB Scart 21-pin Installation: Installed the decoder with the DVD connecting to the plug that sais "SCART-IN", the VCR to the plug that sais "SCART-OUT" and finally the television to the VCR. Test 1: Put on "Shrek" (R2SE), a Macrovision protected title. Started recording on the VCR and playback on the DVD. Let it roll for about one minute and then shut it off, rewinded the tape and started playback on the VCR. Everything worked like a charm. No copy protection visible what so ever. Test 2: Put on "The Haunting" (R2SE), also a Macrovision protected title. Started recording. Let it roll about one minute once again, then stopped and rewinded the tape. Checked out the recording. Same story here, no problems! Conclusion: Provision Macrovision Decoder is an excellent product, which requires very little technical skill to install. However, you do need an extra cable running from the decoder to the television (scart or standard video cable, depending on your requirement). This is a great product for all those who wishes to record DVD-movies onto VHS-tapes!
